A pleasure to meet Lt. Col. Ged Murphy today, who is Commanding Officer of the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Welsh, at a reception in the House of Commons for all the Welsh regiments.

Chirk Surgery

Thank you to the large number of residents of Chirk and the surrounding area who came to my walk-in surgery in the Parish Hall in Chirk on Saturday.

Update on the Kronospan fire

I wanted to express my sympathy and concern again to all the residents of Chirk and the surrounding area about the air quality problems that they have experienced over the last days due to the fire at Kronospan.

Voting on the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill

Today I fulfilled my promise to voters in Clwyd South by voting, for the first time as a new MP, for the Second Reading in parliament of the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill which passed by a majority of 124.

Meeting with NFU Cymru

It was great to meet with NFU Cymru and other Welsh MPs this evening in Westminster to discuss farming issues in Clwyd South and across Wales.

First day in Parliament

My first full day in Parliament today representing the people of Clwyd South as their MP. Lots to learn and a busy week in prospect with the Queen’s Speech and the start of work on the Brexit legislation. The day culminated in a photograph of us 109 new Conservative MPs with the Prime Minister.
