I had a very informative meeting with Chirk Town Council this morning to discuss the fire at Kronospan and its effect on Chirk and other communities nearby.
Below are the public statements about the fire made by Kronospan in conjunction with the North Wales Fire Service and I would like to thank the fire fighters and staff at Kronospan who have worked so hard to get the fire under control.
I am meeting with Kronospan soon and will report to them local residents’ concerns and I look forward to the company carrying out the enquiry into the source of the fire, to which they refer in their statement below, as quickly as possible.
If you have any enquiries, please contact Chirk Town Council http://www.chirk.info/ or me on simon.baynes.mp@parliament.uk
