On Tuesday 9th November, Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, visited Iscoyd Park, the private country house wedding and events venue near Wrexham, and heard from the owner managers Phil and Susie Godsal about its strong recovery from Covid restrictions and bright prospects for 2022.
Phil Godsal said:
“After a difficult 18 months the bounce back in business for the Wedding sector has been strong; catching up with the many weddings that had to be postponed during the lockdowns has kept us very busy indeed! It is wonderful to see all those couples, some of whom had to postpone their weddings three or four times finally get married in a way that fulfilled their dreams and expectations. Encouragingly new bookings are strong which builds confidence for the future and aids our recovery. We are grateful for the great support Simon Baynes MP gave the wedding sector during such challenging times, especially with his work with the APPG for the weddings and for the times he spoke up for us in Parliament.”

“It was a great pleasure to visit Iscoyd Park which is a beacon of excellence in the hospitality sector in Clwyd South. It was very good to hear first-hand from the owner managers Phil and Susie Godsal about their strong recovery from Covid and bright prospects for weddings and other events in 2022. And it was very good to meet other staff members who have gone the extra mile for Iscoyd Park and its clients through the difficulties of Covid and now in brighter times for this very successful family business.”
