Simon Baynes MP with SoS for Transport

I recently had a very productive meeting with the Secretary of State for Transport, Mark Harper MP, to discuss the campaign for step-free access at Ruabon station. Since I was elected, this has been one of my top priorities in Clwyd South, building on the work done by the Wrexham Council and the community in Ruabon, and I am very pleased to say that progress is being made. The Secretary of State emphasised the importance of accessibility at Ruabon station and confirmed that the bid for step-free access is progressing well.

The previous Transport Secretary, Rt Hon Grant Shapps MP, visited Ruabon Station with me in 2021 and I am grateful to Mark Harper for taking the time to discuss this matter with me, and I look forward to continuing to work with him to ensure that the bid for step-free access at Ruabon station is successful.
