Wrexham Council is currently consulting on it's preferred strategy for the Local Development Plan. A list of candidate sites for consideration has also been published.
Commenting on the consultation Simon Baynes said
"The Council are currently consulting on their preferred strategy for the Local Development Plan and it is vitally important that residents do get involved"
"The plan will form the basis for future development for communities across Wrexham"
"I am interested to see how the plan protects the rural countryside and also how it helps regenerate our former industrial villages such as Acrefair, Cefn Mawr and Brymbo."
Within the list of candidate sites are significant areas for housing development around Brymbo and Coedpoeth.
County Councillor for Brymbo Paul Rogers echoed Simon Baynes and said there was concern from these communities about the existing pressure on local services and infrastructure.
"The communities of Brymbo, Broughton and Coedpoeth have seen significant developments in recent years which has put significant pressure on local services and infrastructure"
"It is vital that residents respond to the consultation and have their say"
