Clwyd South MP, Simon Baynes, recently attended a local art exhibition in the Ceiriog Valley.
On Saturday 23rd October 2021, Mr Baynes visited Ceiriog Valley’s Oliver Jones Memorial Hall in Dolywern to show his support for local artists and their work. The event enabled artists to showcase their work to the wider public and also featured a raffle which included many prizes from local businesses and producers and also refreshments.
Admission was free and there was also an art demonstration by Edwin Lambert – with cards available to purchase. And attendees were given the opportunity to vote for their favourite piece of art.
During the visit, Mr Baynes met with Maggie Milne, Jerry Roberts, Alastair Milne, Helen Crossley, Edwin Lambert, Janine Woods and Mary Thompson and was able to see for himself the impressive works of art that had been created.
Simon Baynes MP said:
“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with many people and seeing the artworks that had been produced by local artists. This was a great opportunity to showcase the wonderful talents of so many in the Ceiriog Valley and I would like to thank both the organisers and artists for managing to make the art exhibition such a successful event. It highlighted the breadth of artistic and creative talent among residents in Clwyd South and the work on display was of an exceptionally high standard.”
