On Sunday 19th December, Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, attended the Carols by Candlelight service in St Collen’s Church in Llangollen. It was a very well attended and uplifting service and Mr Baynes read one of the Lessons about the visit of the Wise Men to the stable in Bethlehem.
Fr Lee Taylor of St Collen’s Church said:
“I was delighted to see so many people attend our Carols by Candlelight service at St Collen’s last Sunday. The Christmas story was told by the joyful singing of favourite carols and our readings and poems were read by local representatives”.
Simon Baynes MP said:
“It was a great pleasure and privilege to attend Carols by Candlelight at St Collen’s Church in Llangollen and to take part with a reading as part of the service. Like last year’s service, it was moving and well attended with beautiful singing by the choir. Fr Lee and his ministry at St Collen’s are an inspiration to us all. Echoing the timeless sentiments of the service, I would like to wish everyone in Clwyd South a blessed and Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.”
