Simon Baynes MP has encouraged Denbighshire businesses in Clwyd South who have been impacted by the latest Coronavirus restrictions in Wales to apply for the Welsh Government’s Emergency Business Fund – January 2022.
Retail, hospitality, leisure and tourism businesses who pay Non-Domestic Rates will be entitled to a payment of £2,000, £4,000 or £6,000 depending on their rateable value, with applications opening from January 13th 2022.
Also, a discretionary portion of the fund is available to sole traders, freelancers and taxi drivers who are able to apply for £500 and businesses that employ people, but do not pay business rates, will be able to apply for £2,000. Applications for this open from Monday January 17th 2022.
In order to receive payments, businesses will need to re-register through an online process with Denbighshire County Council, with an eligibility checker from Business Wales being available to help businesses determine how much they can expect to receive.

“I would encourage eligible businesses in Clwyd South who have been impacted by the latest Coronavirus restrictions to apply for this support, as I know many sectors across Denbighshire have been affected by the current restrictions. Hopefully, this support will provide assistance to many Clwyd South businesses during what I know has been a very difficult time.”
