Member of Parliament for Clwyd South, Simon Baynes MP, has encouraged traders in Denbighshire to apply for the business rate relief scheme that has been extended to support businesses across Wales for 2022/23.
All occupied properties wholly or mainly being used as retail, hospitality and leisure businesses are eligible to receive 50% business rate relief. This is a reduction from the last two years of the Welsh Government scheme where businesses were able to receive 100% rate relief and means in many cases traders will have to pay a portion of business rates for the 2022/23 financial year.

“I would encourage all Denbighshire businesses to check if they’re eligible for funding. Whilst it is good that we no longer have Covid restrictions, it is undeniable that businesses across a range of sectors have felt the negative impacts of COVID and I hope that this scheme will assist and support those businesses that have struggled during the pandemic.”
