Voting on the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill

Today I fulfilled my promise to voters in Clwyd South by voting, for the first time as a new MP, for the Second Reading in parliament of the EU Withdrawal Agreement Bill which passed by a majority of 124.

Meeting with NFU Cymru

It was great to meet with NFU Cymru and other Welsh MPs this evening in Westminster to discuss farming issues in Clwyd South and across Wales.

First day in Parliament

My first full day in Parliament today representing the people of Clwyd South as their MP. Lots to learn and a busy week in prospect with the Queen’s Speech and the start of work on the Brexit legislation. The day culminated in a photograph of us 109 new Conservative MPs with the Prime Minister.

Esclusham Senior Citizens Christmas Party

A great pleasure to attend the Esclusham Senior Citizens Christmas Party this evening as my first constituency event as MP for Clwyd South. It is organised each year by the Community Council and the Hall was packed out and a great evening enjoyed by all.

Visit by Party Chairman James Cleverley

Great to welcome James Cleverly, the Chairman of the Conservative Party, to Overton this morning to knock on doors and visit the Corner Shop and the White Horse where we had a chat with the landlord Andy. Plenty of support particularly to Get Brexit Done.

Visit by Secretary of State for Work & Pensions

Great to welcome Rt Hon Therese Coffey, Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, to Johnstown yesterday to support my election campaign in Clwyd South and to discuss the Conservative manifesto pledge to protect pensioner benefits.

Launch of the Welsh Conservatives Manifesto

Great to speak with Boris Johnson and Paul Davies AM today in Clwyd South just before they launched the Welsh Conservatives manifesto at Bangor-on-Dee racecourse.
