A message from the Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (AVOW):
"We are entering another week with uncertainty about plans to lift the lockdown which appears to have been successful in starting to see the number of cases and deaths on a downward turn. Whilst numbers are dropping we have still had sad news this weekend of a young father who has died from Covid at the Maelor Hospital at a time when others are relieved to be leaving after being struck down by the virus.
"Our thoughts should go to the families of all who have been affected in whatever way and to all of the staff in hospitals that have worked tirelessly to treat patients. Let us all hope that everyone plays there part over the coming weeks to obey lockdown and isolation regulation to help save others."
This is incredibly sad news, and my heart goes out to the family and friends of the young father who has died from Covid-19 at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. My sympathies and heartfelt thanks also go out to the NHS staff working so hard to keep us all safe during this difficult and uncertain time.
If there's anything I can do to help people struggling during this crisis, I encourage them to please get in touch with me and my office on simon.baynes.mp@parliament.uk. I'm here to help in any way I can.
